Bluetooth Speakers have improved over the years and now we are seeing several 40 watt speakers pop up on Amazon. Models like the Tronsmart Force, Mega and this Sinoband S400 all have 40 watts of power. The Sinoband S400 Plus is the least expensive 40 watt speaker I have seen since most sell for around $60. In comparison the JBL Charge 4 which was recently released has 30 watts of power and sells for over $100.
The SinoBand S400 is IPX7 rated water, dustproof, and features USB-C connection. Several brands are still using the older MicroUSB port such as the recent UE Megaboom 3 and Boom 3. The fact this uses the new standard USB-C connection that most new smartphones use is a pleasure as you don’t have to carry yet another cord around.
The Sinoband S400 is super loud and even at max sound is quite clear with nice bass. The speaker has two 20 watt speakers up front and a passive radiator in the back of the small speaker. This speaker can hit 100db which is quite impressive for such a small speaker.
I work in a noisy factory jobs so most speakers I bought just were not loud enough for all the background noise of machines. This small bluetooth speaker gets plenty loud with nice bass. I listen to rock, rap, r&b, country and other types of music and all play crystal clear.
Overall I impressed with the Sinoband S400 as the best budget speaker with loud sound. It is rugged to take out with you when camping or fishing but sounds great as well.
