Anker Soundcore Motion+ Bluetooth Speaker Review

Anker who is the leader in power banks has made a name for themselves in the audio world with their Soundcore line of Bluetooth speakers. This is a market dominated by UE, JBL and Sony. Anker Soundcore line has been the bestselling line on Amazon for years. The price, quality of sound, and build quality has made them a popular choice.

Anker is now finally launching a mid-size Bluetooth speaker that directly competes with the JBL Charge 4, UE Boom 3, and Sony XB32. The JBL Charge 4 is the best comparison as they are both 30 watt speakers.

The Anker Soundcore Motion+ features 30 watts of power in it’s 2x(15 watt) each speakers. Then it has two small tweeters and a passive radiator on back. The Motion+ is built more future proof than most Bluetooth speakers on the market. It features the latest Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C charging, Qualcomm APTX support, and waterproof casing.

Anker Soundcore Motion+ doesn’t disappointed in sound quality. This speaker gets super loud with very little distortion even at the highest setting. The bass is improved when you have BassUpTM on. It has 2x speakers instead of just one big speaker that the JBL charge4 has. This is the reason I ended up selling my JBL Charge 4 was the mono speaker sounded weird when watching to Youtube videos. I like how the Motion+ is angled upward so the sound rises to your ears. Other speakers will direct sound straight which isn’t ideal when you have the speaker lower than your ears.

Overall the Anker Soundcore Motion+ is the only Bluetooth speaker that can compete directly with the JBL charge 4. It features the latest tech and sounds like a much bigger speaker. At only $99.99 this is the best valued mid-size Bluetooth speaker on the market.
